How it works

Audio in, transcript out.

  1. 01

    Add your audio

Drop an MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, AAC or OGG file, up to 5 GB. You can also record in your browser or paste a link.

  2. 02

    Let it transcribe

We detect the language and, if you turn it on, who spoke when. An hour of audio is usually ready in about five minutes on Unlimited.

  3. 03

    Fix and export

Play the audio as you read, fix a word, rename speakers, then download DOCX, PDF, TXT or SRT. Or share a read-only link.

What you get

More than a text file, a transcript you can work with.

  • Speaker labels

Turn them on to see who said what. Rename a speaker once and it changes everywhere, or move a line to another speaker.

  • Timestamps

Every line is timed, so you can jump from a quote to the exact moment in the audio. Export with or without timestamps.

  • Language detection

NiceScribe detects the language for you, or you can pick it. Dozens of languages work, and you can have the transcript translated to English as it’s made.

  • An editor that plays along

The audio plays as you read, so fixing a name or a number takes seconds. Search across everything you’ve transcribed.

Made for every kind of recording.

  • Interviews and podcasts

Quote-ready text with each speaker named, for show notes, articles or research.

  • Lectures and meetings

Hours of talk turned into text you can skim, search and share.

  • Voice memos

Record in your browser or upload a file, and keep a searchable written record.

Limits and plans, in plain numbers.

  • Free: 3 files a day, up to 30 minutes each, with speaker labels, timestamps and every export format.
  • Unlimited: $10 a month, billed yearly, with no cap on files or minutes and files up to 10 hours.

Private by default

Files are encrypted in transit and at rest, and never used to train AI models. Delete a file any time and it leaves your library at once.
